Strawberry Star partnered with the Harlow Council for the prestigious Harlow Town Centre Awards and Active Harlow Sports Awards in 2019 as part of the organisation’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

Launched in 2017 as part of the town’s 70th anniversary celebrations, the Harlow Town Centre awards have been designed to celebrate everything in the town centre. Harlow Town Centre has long played a significant role in Harlow and for the town’s residents. Whether it has been somewhere we have worked, shopped or played, the town centre has been a consistent feature in the town’s history and will continue to be so in the future.

Having taken place for a number of years, the Active Harlow Sports Awards has a high profile amongst the sporting community of Harlow, celebrating local sporting talent and recognising the contributions made by the people that make sport and physical activity happen in Harlow.

As the partner for the two awards, Strawberry Star Chairman Santhosh Gowda presented the ‘Strawberry Star Retailer of 2019’ Award to Primark at the awards presentation ceremony in Harlow on September 25, 2019 in the presence of Harlow Council Chair Clive Souter.
